Replying

(This is based on my (was) current conversation with Alex.)

Ahh. Don't you love it when you get an instant response to something you've said?
It makes you feel important.. that something you've said is important, like a really pro game of tennis. Back and forth, for hours. :D

(Yes, I did just compare talking to tennis.)

Although, I hate it when there is a pause. Sometimes it's an unintentional pause, for example you've gone off to make a cup of tea, and forgotten to say you will be back in a minute. Other times, the internet doesn't inform you that that person has spoken. So there you are, waiting for them to reply.. but there is no response. And then you check, and there is a nice pleasant surprise, all is well.

But sometimes, someone is replying to you, and you are doing about 50 things at once, and there is an unintentional pause whilst you finish either replying to the other 49 people you're talking to, or finish that one thing that's on your mind. And, it's not good for that person for the minute, they are still loved, you just don't get anything done, unless there is a slight slower pace to said conversation.

The worst pauses are the conversation killers. When you don't share an opinion, and the other person just doesn't reply.
Or, doesn't reply until an hour later, when you've forgotten what you'd said.
Or when the conversation just dies when it's going nowhere.
But, if it strikes back up again when you can think of something to say, all is well.

Generic conversations:
-Heya, uk?
--Yh, u?
-Yh, wubu2?
--Nm, u?
-Nm, wuu2?
--Nm, u?
-Nm.
SILENCE.

Ahh, the Youth of Today. What japers.

People skills:
The internet (or the interweb) is great. You can talk to people, and have separate conversations, all at the same time. Although, it's not like the good old days, when you could only talk to one person at a time, face to face, when you met up with them. Although, phones were good too.. but just not as good as the internet. Ahh, the possibilities are endless. But, it does mean that I really do not have people skills. First impressions are the worst. But we can't have everything.

Anyway, if you are even still reading this, thankies, :D

The outcome of this: be punctual with your replying, unless you have a valid reason not to.
