Llamas.

Their faces get me every time :)
(Thankies, babes :)

Is Winter over yet?

I haven't posted pictures for ages! It's just been all ramble. Is that bad?

Unexpected Loveliness.

You know when you're not expecting something to make you happy, and then you realise it really does?
Normally it's just small things.
Like today, just having tea with my fam, was really nice. And we had out-of-date peshwari naans with Chilli con Carne whilst having chats about genners things. It was just, lovely.
And earlier, when I made friends with an old lady whilst in Marks and Spencers when I was trying on a weddingy hat. It was great. :)

Simple things are genius.

Anyway.

Abnormally Large Grapes.

Okay, I just realised I didn't actually mention the grapes in the last post, I just got over excited about the 'lympics.

:D

Terribly sorry. So, yes. My dad has been food shopping this eve, and he bought home lots of exciting things, including some ridiculously large grapes. They were genius. And beasts!

And very tasty. :)

Abnormally Large Grapes & Winter Olympics.

I've spent this evening watching the Winter Olympics in Vancouver. Not in Vancouver, sadly. Just at home. :) But, whenever I want to watch something exciting like the Bobsleigh or speed skating, or skiiing, or something, it's always showing curling. Apparently it's 'really difficult', but really, it is incredibly boring watching people sweeping. So, each to their own.

So, tonight it was the Ski Cross, which is incredibly exciting.

The most interesting bit is when they fall over, it always is.
So tonight, they showed some highlights of bobsleigh, showing someone's horrific ice burns from falling out of the bobsleigh. Which look absolutely horrendously painful. And also, on the Ski Cross, I've seen people battling to get infront, all whilst going around corners and jumping over various things. On skis. It's pretty technical, really. But also inevitable that some of them will fall over. :) And, t'other day was speed skating. Where they have ice skates, and go really fast round a track, for a long distance, just lapping. And when they all knock each other over, it's also very funny. But also, when the speed skaters go around the corner, they are going at such an angle that they can touch the floor with their hands. 'mazing.

I guess this one has just been a long ramble at how amazing winter sport is. But, it is really very great. :D

Wooden Flutes & Lazy Afternoons

We rescued loads of things from behind the piano yesterday. Among the various things we found, there was a wooden flute. It is more like a wooden recorder, and is incredibly exciting (and incredibly dusty).
I love playing and finding random new and exciting instruments, I don't quite know why. Something different, I suppose. So, the discovery of this was so exciting, I've blogged about it.
But not really exciting enough to devote an entire blog post to it.

So, the second part of this is about my day today. It's the last day of half term, and so today has been spent lazing around, pyjamaing, and doing homework. So, an incredibly productive day. We're also snowed in, although it's not as bad as before, I think you can mostly see the road now.

Anyway. I was doing music homework earlier, which was to find definitions of various musical terms. And it was all fine, the internet is a brilliant source of definitions, but is also full of distractions. So, I came across a crumhorn.
As you do.

And, I thought it was quite interesting. It turns out, a 'crumhorn' is an old woodwind instrument, and is German for 'bent horn'.

Anyway. :)

Lovely Days

I've had such a nice time for the past 4 days, it was lovely to spend so much time with Ellie and Alex, and Alex, Ollie, and all those japers that came to see Arcadian Babes play on Wednesday.

I may now be absolutely knackered, but it was definitely worth it.

Thankyou, so much :)

Alex's Post

Possibly the most exciting bit of my life to date? Yes, I think so.
To think, a little bit of me on the internet. It's literally amazing.

I guess that in the manic excitement of the moment I've ran out of things to say. What a terrible conundrum. Well..

I am having a very nice half term holiday so far, shame it has to end. Currently I'm sat on one of the Sterrit houses' sofa's, with Ellie cuddled/asleep/dead beside me. And I'm on James! Who is well and truly alive!

It's amazing.

I do hope I get to find my way on the internet again soon. In the meantime i'll fill my time with lots of exciting antics to report back.
All my love,

Alex (boy Alex) xxxxxxxxxxxxxXD

Exciting Mountain Goat actual picture.

So, yes. Mountain Goat babez.

Mountain Goat Collages

It's been an exciting half term, really.
It's the last holiday before Easter, which sounds all ominous, because it's almost GCSE's, and having to do work, and whatnot.

So, on Monday, I spent the day with a good fellow named Ellie, and her little brother. And we made collages, and it was all very exciting.
And I tried my hardest to be all arty.
And I even included a mountain goat, to lighten the entire thing somewhat. It's very casual.

(okat, well there WAS going to be a nice mountain goat photie on here. But it's not cooperating. Sad times.)

Riveting Coathanger Related Conversing

When we were ont' bus home today, I am not sure how this conversation emerged, but it was about coathangers, and strategically placing said coathangers on one's naked body, if they were ever in such a situation that would require them to do so.

Supermarket Parking.

So, I spent my Wednesday afternoon food shopping with my mum and Sister.
And we went to Morrisons.
And, were parking the car.
My mum proceeded to park as close as possible to the trolley park 'because it's convenient!'
And so came the jape that my mum was infact using the trolley park as a garage.
Anyway.

Arcadian Babes

Last night, I went to see the new musical phenomenon that is Arcadian Babes. And for only £2! By next year, it'll cost at least £50 for a seated ticket!

So, yes. Arcadian Babes are genius.

And I even got to go to the afterparty!

:)

Home!

They're back. What good timing!

39 years to this day.

I know 39 isn't as exciting as 40, but it's not 40 years yet, so sorry. :)

So, yes.
39 years ago today was the official change in the UK from old money to decimalisation.
How very exciting!

I have too much time on my hands. I think my fam should come home soon.

:)

Lucy's Birthday Cake.

I spent this evening making Lucy's birthday cake, to take to school tomorrow.

One side of the icing is a bit of a fail (but you can't see it on this photie..:) And we can't have everything.
:)

Vampire Weekend.

On Monday night I went to see Vampire Weekend in Manchester with my friends.
It was amazing. :D

General Blogging.

Hey there.

Blog blog blog.

Today was really exciting. I helped a small child when her lunch was all over the floor at school today. I hope she appreciated it, we had a nice chat. :)

And also today I actually recorded my ensemble piece, for music.
I liked it, and now I probably won't get shot by my teacher, as it was actually in for October.. :)

All is well.

James

James, my laptop, is back, as of yesterday, and he's all a-okay. :)

So, I guess I better start blogging again.

Or go to bed.

This will just be all rambly and silly, then.

I'm going to bed at 00:18. Fo' sho'. It's a nice number.

Keh.

:)

Arty.

I've always been arty.

:D

Owl City.

NO. Just NO.

That song, Fireflies, follows me EVERYWHERE.

AAAAAARGH.
