We rescued loads of things from behind the piano yesterday. Among the various things we found, there was a wooden flute. It is more like a wooden recorder, and is incredibly exciting (and incredibly dusty).
I love playing and finding random new and exciting instruments, I don't quite know why. Something different, I suppose. So, the discovery of this was so exciting, I've blogged about it.
But not really exciting enough to devote an entire blog post to it.
So, the second part of this is about my day today. It's the last day of half term, and so today has been spent lazing around, pyjamaing, and doing homework. So, an incredibly productive day. We're also snowed in, although it's not as bad as before, I think you can mostly see the road now.
Anyway. I was doing music homework earlier, which was to find definitions of various musical terms. And it was all fine, the internet is a brilliant source of definitions, but is also full of distractions. So, I came across a crumhorn.
As you do.
And, I thought it was quite interesting. It turns out, a 'crumhorn' is an old woodwind instrument, and is German for 'bent horn'.
Anyway. :)
